Alder is a small, family owned, Company located in Trieste industrial area – Italy, founded in 1963. Since 1967 it is producing in its site formaldehyde as aqueous solution. In 1978 it developed a proprietary process for the production of paraformaldehyde and in 1981 it started the production of pentaerythritol, both products derivatives of formaldehyde. The mentioned products are still produced and sold on the international market. Alder is also engaged in selling the license, know-how and basic engineering of its own proprietary processes for the production of formaldehyde, paraformaldehyde and pentaerythritol all over the world, with more than 80 formaldehyde plants working according to its process.
